Restoration of services continuing at Hansab, banking services working in Estonia

As of Tuesday noon, automation services provider Hansab, which came under a cyber attack on March 1, is continuing with the restoration of the operation of some specific IT systems.

The services of commercial banks, that is ATMs, card payments and internet banking are functioning as usual.

Throughout the cyber incident, ATMs in Estonia have been filled with cash and the ATM network has been working normally. Hansab refills the ATMs for Swedbank, Luminor, and LHV in Estonia according to the banks’ orders.

Card payments and online bank transfers have also been operating normally across all Estonian banks. The Bank of Estonia continuously monitors the country’s overall cash demand and is ready to supply banks with cash as needed.

As of Tuesday, the central bank will stop giving the public a regular overview of the situation related to the resolution of the Hansab cyber incident.
