Baltics: Eleport offers lower prices at EV charging stations at night, on weekends

Eleport, one of Central and Eastern Europe’s leading providers of public charging infrastructure for electric cars, is lowering the price of its service simultaneously in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.

As of Thursday, registered customers of Eleport’s charging stations in Estonia will benefit from a discount of 8 cents per kilowatt-hour at night and on weekends.

“Estonians have learned in recent years that peak consumption needs to be shifted. This will lead to more even electricity prices. While so far people are used to shifting the consumption of washing machines and other household appliances, we are now bringing the same thinking to the public charging of electric cars,” said Kaupo Eerme, CEO of Eleport Estonia.

Eleport also reduced prices in its other markets. The reduction is particularly noticeable in Poland, where the average market price is significantly higher than in the Baltics.

Eleport operates a network of more than 800 public chargers for electric cars across four countries. Over the summer, the company expanded its network particularly in Lithuania, where several new locations were opened, and two new ones will open next week.

Alongside installing new chargers, Eleport continues to expand into new markets. Soon, the company will announce two new countries where it will open several electric vehicle charging stations later this year.
