The National Hotel, which is in central Klaipeda, Lithuania, will soon be renovated to become part of the Design Hotels brand that is owned by the global Mariott chain. This was reported on the Website of the Vakaru Ekspresas newspaper.
This will be the prestigious brand’s second hotel in the Baltic States, the first being the Pacai Hotel in Vilnius.
“Due to its extremely high level of quality and design standards, the chain only accepts some 5% of hotels which apply, thus ensuring that only the most exceptional properties become part thereof,” says Lukas Kuraitis, managing director at BJK, which is developing the hotel. “By joining the Design Hotels network, we seek to further emphasise the uniqueness of our hotel and to showcase the culture of Klaipeda.”
The renovated hotel is expected to welcome its first guests in the spring of 2025.
