Circle K pays most tax among Lithuania’s retailers in H1 – 136.7 million euros

Circle K Lietuva (Circle K Lithuania), one of the largest fuel retail chains in Lithuania, paid the highest amount of taxes into the state coffers among retailers in the first half of this year, while Philip Morris Baltic, a manufacturer of tobacco products, topped a respective ranking among wholesalers, the Verslo Zinios news portal reported on Tuesday.

Circle K Lietuva paid 136.7 million euros in taxes in the first half of this year, up 27.3 percent compared with the same period last year.

Maxima LT ranked second among retailers with 92.6 million euros paid in taxes (up 6 percent), followed by Lidl Lietuva with 68.5 million euros (up 0.7 percent), Kesko Senukai Lithuania with 43.6 million euros (down 3.7 percent), and by Baltic Petroleum in the fifth place with 37.6 million euros (up 14.2 percent).

Among Lithuanian wholesalers, Philip Morris Baltic paid the highest amount of taxes to the country’s budget in the first half of this year – 124.2 million euros, or 9.7 percent more than in the same period last year.

Sanitex came second with 111.5 million euros in taxes (up 9.8 percent), followed by MV Group Distribution LT with 83.9 million euros (up 10.7 percent), Amber Distribution Lithuania with 46 million euros (up 7.2 percent), and Rivona in the fifth place with 32.4 million euros (up 17.6 percent).
