The Corruption Prevention Bureau has instructed the National Alliance to pay into the state budget EUR 210,673, part of state funding that the party has spent in violation of the law; the party will also not receive state funding for a period of 12 months, as the bureau informed LETA.
The Corruption Prevention Bureau took the decision as during the political campaigning in 2022, the party spent state budget funds in the amount of EUR 554,627, exceeding the maximum amount of state funding it could have spent on the purpose, pursuant to the Law on Financing of Political Organizations, by EUR 210,673.
On June 11, the Corruption Prevention Bureau decided that state funding for National Alliance would be suspended for a period of one year.
