Flixbus to open new bus routes to various Finnish cities

International bus operator Flixbus will open three new bus routes with direct connections to different Finnish cities this summer.

In addition to the existing Vaasa route, it will soon be possible to travel cheaply from Pärnu and Tallinn to Tampere, Joensuu and Rovaniemi by bus. The first new routes will open at the end of this month, on July 28.

“We expanded to Finland last summer, opening a route that passes through the largest cities in the Baltics and stretches along the coast to Vaasa. We see that the routes connecting the Baltic states with Finland are justified, as people are interested in the routes there and the number of passengers is constantly increasing,” Flixbus business manager Kamila Zalewska said.

In order to expand people’s travel options and ensure good connections with various Finnish cities, Flixbus is opening new direct routes to Tampere, Joensuu and Rovaniemi. Buses depart on various routes once a day and prices from Tallinn start at 29.99 euros.

The Flixbus ticket includes the Tallink ferry connection between Estonia and Finland. Passengers are also able to take a bicycle with them onto the bus.

A ticket to Finland can be booked up to three hours before the bus departure, which allows people to plan their trips flexibly.

In Finland, the buses will stop in Helsinki, Tampere, Salo, Turku, Raisio, Rauma, Pori, Närpe, Vaasa, Joensuu, Heinola, Oulu, Kemi and Rovaniemi, depending on the route.

Zalewska added that Flixbus plans to expand and open additional routes in Finland according to demand.
