The ratio of future pensions to wages in Lithuania is the lowest among member countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the LRT news website reports on Monday.
In its latest survey, the OECD forecasts that people born in 2000 and working from 2022 until old age in Lithuania would receive a pension equal to 28.9 percent of the former average salary.
The highest ratio is Portugal, Turkey and the Netherlands where the ratio between the level of the pension paid and the salary received before retirement is more than 90 percent.
