Rally Estonia to return to WRC calendar in 2025

In 2025, Rally Estonia will once again be part of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) series, and in 2024, it will be included in the European Rally Championship (ERC) series.

Next year, Rally Estonia will be the fourth round of the ERC, taking place on the roads of southern Estonia from July 5 to 7. The ERC Rally Estonia is also one of the JERC (Junior) rounds. Rally Estonia, which has been hosting the top drivers of the WRC for the last four years, is no stranger to the ERC series, as the top event driven in South Estonia was part of the European Championship calendar during the seasons of 2014-2016.

Rally Estonia director Urmo Aava said that there are increasingly more participants in the ERC series driving Rally2 cars.

“I believe that next year’s home round of the European Rally Championship will see quite a few Estonian crews competing in Rally2 cars. The likelihood of some of them reaching the top three is very high. Participating in Rally Estonia is a great opportunity for young drivers to achieve a strong result in the title race and compare themselves with the best from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, and other countries,” Aava said.

Iain Campbell, head of the European Rally Championship, noted that Rally Estonia won the Event of the Year award as a newcomer in its first year in the FIA European Rally Championship in 2014 and has since successfully organized WRC rounds.

“WRC Promoter will bring all the resource to the event that it does with WRC — all stages live, behind-the-scenes footage and global coverage. The competition in ERC is incredibly fierce, and we see this continuing over the ultra-fast and challenging stages of Estonia,” Campbell said.

Tickets for ERC Rally Estonia 2024 will become available in the online shop on the Rally Estonia website www.rallyestonia.ee starting Friday, Nov. 24, at 10 a.m.

The FIA European Rally Championship stage ERC Rally Estonia 2024 will take place on the roads of Tartu and southern Estonia from July 5 to 7. The start and finish podium of ERC Rally Estonia, along with a diverse entertainment program, will continue to be located at the Tartu Town Hall Square. After a four-year break, the rally headquarters and service park will once again be hosted by the Tehvandi Sports Center in Otepaa.
