Tallinn Airport reports 13% increase in passenger traffic

248,300 people passed through Tallinn Airport in October 2024, which was 13% more than during the same month in 2023.

The number of airline tickets sold rose by only 1%. Flight options were lesser than was the case during the summer season because airlines transitioned to their winter flight schedules, but interest among potential passengers remained at a high level.

In November, passengers had a choice of 30 regularly scheduled flights, mostly to Frankfurt, Riga, Helsinki and Stockholm. 13 airlines were providing regularly scheduled services from Tallinn. Only 6% of passengers relied on charter flights, mostly to Egypt, Turkey and Portugal.

There were 2,809 flights in November, which was 4% less than last year.  On average, Tallinn Airport handled 94 arrivals and departures each day.

8,719 passengers were handled by regional airports – 3,873 in Tartu, 3,452 in Kuressaare, 1,053 in Kardla, 135 in Parnu, and 206 at the Ruhnu Airport. Most of these flights were at Tartu Airport – 248 flights in all.
