The Bolt Drive car-sharing service can now be used also on a fixed-price package and hourly or daily packages, in addition to the standard price list.
Both new options allow users to see how much they are saving compared to the standard rates.
Henriko Aer, head of Bolt Drive Estonia, said the new features have been created based on customer feedback.
“In addition to trips within cities, Bolt Drive customers also use our cars a lot on weekends and would prefer hourly or daily pricing. We also have a lot of clients who want to know the cost before they start a trip, as it helps them plan their budget,” Aer said.
The hourly and weekly packages provide a great way to visit multiple destinations over longer periods of time. Packages are available from one hour to one week, and a distance of five to 2,000 kilometers can be chosen.
A fixed-price trip to a specified destination allows the customer to know before the start of the trip how much it will cost and where they can park at the destination. The user enters the destination and sees the initial price, which the system will calculate according to the distance and estimated duration. If the journey takes longer or a greater distance is covered than planned, the standard per-minute and per-kilometer price will start to apply. Bolt Drive’s Estonian car fleet has a total of 1,200 rental cars, including electric cars and vans. In Estonia, Bolt Drive is available in Tallinn and Tartu.
