Tallinn Airport again awarded title of best airport in Europe

On Monday, the Airports Council International (ACI) announced the best airports of 2023, and Tallinn Airport was once again declared the winner in the category of airports with two to five million passengers.

In addition, Tallinn Airport was also awarded in three secondary categories — the most enjoyable airport in Europe, the airport with the easiest journey in Europe and the cleanest airport in Europe.

Riivo Tuvike, chairman of the management board of AS Tallinna Lennujaam, said that he is grateful on behalf of the entire airport team that the airport of our small country is recognized so highly.

“The awards reflect important values for our team, and we are happy that our contribution to the name of the most homely and beloved airport is noticed passengers too,” Tuvike added.

This year, the airport will focus even more than before on innovative solutions to facilitate the journey of passengers in the terminal. At the beginning of April, the airport will replace the security control equipment with new and more efficient machines, which will make the security process faster and more convenient. The soon-to-be reopened Business Class Lounge will be bigger and cozier than before, the airport said.

Tallinn Airport has received recognition for its high-quality services before, and even six times in a row since 2018.

ACI World’s annual ASQ Awards recognize airport excellence in customer experience worldwide, based on data from ASQ’s renowned departures and arrivals surveys and customer surveys. Airports are rated in eight categories — arrival at the airport, check-in, security control, passport control, shopping, gate area, journey through the airport and general atmosphere of the airport. Launched in 2006, ASQ is the world’s leading airport passenger satisfaction survey program with nearly 400 airports from 109 countries participating.
