US funds renovation of kindergarten in Voru, Estonia, with over USD 500,000

On Oct.16, 2023, the United States embassy will celebrate the completion of the renovation of the “Pakapikk” kindergarten in Voru, which cost over a half-million US dollars, funded from the United States Department of Defense and the United States European Command’s Humanitarian Assistance program.

The US embassy in Tallinn administered the project and the US Army Corps of Engineers supervised the execution of the plan, which a local Estonian contractor carried out.

The Office of Defense Cooperation administers the US DoD’s Humanitarian Assistance program in Estonia and, since 2012, has completed 11 projects in Estonia, totaling over four million US dollars. There are six ongoing and future projects in various locations throughout Estonia.
