Wolt launches in Kuressaare

Technology company Wolt on Tuesday launched its courier service in Kuressaare, main town of Saaremaa island, with deliveries also carried out up to a few kilometers outside Kuressaare.

Of the town’s restaurants, IDA Sushibaar, Peetri Pizza, Castello and Monk, along with the Rimi grocery store and the Urr&Nurr pet store, are available via the platform, with Hesburger to be added in a couple of days.

Wolt’s arrival in Kuressaare means that it will be possible for locals to earn money as a courier.

The Wolt platform employs around 2,000 couriers in Estonia, and last year the company paid more than 3.5 million in labor taxes on platform workers.

Wolt currently operates in Tallinn, Tartu, Narva-Joesuu, Parnu, Rakvere, Viljandi, Kohtla-Jarve, Johvi, Saku, Saue, Maardu, Juri, and now also Kuressaare.

Wolt is a Helsinki-based technology company that provides an online platform for consumers, merchants and couriers.
