Bolt to temporarily suspend electric scooter service due to snowfall

Due to unexpected snowfall on Tuesday, Bolt has decided to temporarily suspend its electric scooter service to ensure customer safety.

Bolt Drive cars are equipped with all-season tires, but customers should nevertheless be extra careful on Tuesday.

Bolt spokesperson Liisi Maria Aleksius said that the company’s priority is always the safety of customers and service providers.

“Therefore, we have decided to temporarily suspend the scooter and bicycle rental service, and would like to remind everyone that drivers should also be extremely careful. We also wish the drivers and couriers of our ride-sharing service safe driving,” she added.

Bolt’s scooter rental service was temporarily suspended in Tallinn and Haapsalu.

“We are monitoring the weather conditions in other cities as well and will make corresponding changes to the opening and closing of the service on an ongoing basis,” Aleksius said.

Given the challenging weather conditions, Bolt is asking customers to be understanding as wait times may be longer than usual. The company is monitoring the situation on an ongoing basis and taking all necessary steps to make the service as safe as possible.
