Lithuania looks for communication campaign developers for 20th EU membership anniversary

Lithuania is looking for the developers of an communication campaign to mark its 20th EU membership anniversary.

“This is an image campaign, and its main goal is to show what Lithuania is like today, i.e. what we look like now, what well-being we have created during our time in the EU, without looking back to the past, but focusing on the present,” Ausra Pociene, a representative of the Central Project Management Agency, which is carrying out the tender, told BNS.

According to the tender documents, such a decision was made because the communication campaigns and other activities of other institutions – the European Commission, the Foreign Affairs and Defense Ministries – will mostly focus on the past and history.

Pociene says the campaign aims to remind people of the significance and opportunities that Lithuania’s EU membership has brought.

“This campaign should reflect the result of Lithuania’s 20 years in the EU. Some of the themes it needs to highlight are innovation and entrepreneurship, the energy sector, regional policy and other priority areas,” the tender documents read.

The communication campaign is expected to cost around 170,000 euros and be launched in July at the latest.

Lithuania joined the EU on May 1, 2004.
